CONSULTANCY

Superyachts Europe is an independent and dedicated consultancy focused on providing top-tier services for clients looking to purchase
a Superyacht.

What is the difference between a Buyers Broker and a local Broker?

Local Broker

  • Represents the seller or a local inventory.
  • Often their main job is to list and sell boats/yachts in a particular marina, city, or region.
  • Knows the local market very well — pricing trends, inventory, service providers, and local regulations.
  • May not represent your interests if you are the buyer; they often act for the seller.
  • Limited to local listings. Their brokerage focus is usually regional.

Buyers Broker

  • A buyer’s yacht broker works for you, the buyer, wherever the right yacht may be.
  • Knows what is for sale worldwide and
  • Receives daily updates from its large worldwide network of yards and brokers about yachts new on the market, yachts sold and off-market yachts.

First time users have no experience in the entire process of purchasing a yacht. Logical.  Experienced yachtowners bought a few times in their live a yacht, so could use professional assistance as well.  Then it is very wise that you chose the right Broker who advises, guides, and directs you; that’s the Buyers Broker! If you Buy you need a Buyers Broker, if you sell a Sellers Broker.

But this also applies to experienced yacht owners; you only buy a yacht a few times in your life.

Declaration of Independence

Superyachts Europe is 100% independent with no yards, manufacturers, other yachting brokerage firms, or sister companies holding shares.

Superyachts Europe does not operate with CA listings in order to avoid conflicts of interest, representing only buyers. We receive new yachts for sale with often special offers, and yachts sold through our more than 650 affiliated brokers every day. Regularly we only show some of them at our site (there are more than 3.000 Superyachts for sale worldwide) and publish these in our weekly Newsletter.

Superyachts Europe maintains exclusive search assignments with buyers, specifying the scope, duration, and costs per assignment based on the Y E S Methodology, which comprises the Definition (of the yacht), Search, Select, and Preliminary Purchase phases.

These phases include questions and activities to be completed, including by third parties such as lawyers, accountants, tax experts, surveyors, and the yard. This is the consultancy trajectory. It is also possible to sign an assignment per phase.

Meetings with the seller’s broker occur after the consultancy trajectory. The Contract, Survey, and Delivery Phases are executed, and fees are paid by Seller’s party, in accordance with MYBA international rules.

We are confident we will find your dream yacht, and if it isn't available, we will build a NEW one.
